I am trying to replace the wp impeller and here is where I'm at.Model egrcrw and ser.number eo320241.I got a 7/8 of an inch spacing in dropping down the lower unit and there is no visible screw that will separate the shift linkage and no plate to take off to get at linkage connection. In the process of taking powerhead off, will rotate with 6 bottom screws removed but still connected......next move? ....will appreciate.

IS the powerhead off? Some of the older models require the removal of the powerhead to remove the lower unit. What year is your motor? If the powerhead is stuck the driveshaft might be stuck in the crank
