Evinrude 80 hp selectric shift

Hey guys/gals I bought what seems to be a 1966 atlas traveler with an 80 hp evinrude selectric shift outboard . And I need a replacement selectric shifter or remote not sure what you call it. Mine works but parts on it are cracking off and the throttle cable has a plastic piece that has broken off the shifter on inside. I would like to replace it so I was wondering if anyone has a pdf or a manual with the part number or if someone has a unit to sell me.

also can i change this system to a newer style?

with the broken cable piece I have to turn the throttle cable on motor base to the right spot to start the motor to where the two arrows or points match on rotor., and to increase speed.

If it were mine I'd get rid of it, parts are very difficult to come by and expensive if you find them.

You are going to need the model# to find out what year your engine is.
Start looking around in your area for marine salvage yards for the parts you need, if you find them be prepaired for the shock of the cost of parts.

Call fairwinds marina in Annapolis, MD...(410) 974-0758...ask for Rick....he has what you need and is very reasonable. I saw your shifter there last week for $80.00 used. He has all the parts and maybe a new one also. Give him your model number off your motor and he can look up and quote you.
