So my prop has spun on my 1971 evinrude 9.5 and I decided to replace it with a 2 blade from a 1970 6hp fisherman. The 9.5 had the original 3 blade prop so what can I expect in terms of speed to anyone who has done this before. It’s temporary but I’d be curious to know if it’s a real drastic change or not. 1FAB8FF2-8E43-4CB6-BDC9-A58D7BC41083.jpeg

The 9.5 HP might rev too high with the lower pitch of the 6 HP prop.----You might damage the motor and go slower !!!

Interesting. I'm in the U.S. and I'm seeing a SOLAS prop on Amazon for $51.75 and free shipping.
The supply situation in the U.S. is horrendous, for various reasons - high demand, labor shortages, etc. Could be the U.S. vendor is working with older stock, and when that runs out the next order from his supplier, if it ever shows up, will come with a dramatic price increase.

is this the correct prop? Also curious as to how the 2 blade prop will damage the motor does it put too much stress on the engine at high rpm ?

The number is correct, and it is the same listing I bought from over a year ago. I know the illustration doesn't show the notch for the drive pin, but the prop I received has one and fits perfectly.
I know this listing has had more than one vendor, though. The first time I tried to buy one, it never arrived. The vendor claimed it got lost in shipping, and gave me a full refund. Then I ordered again a month later, but this time it was being supplied by a different vendor, and the price was cheaper than the first time. That one arrived in good time and perfect condition. If I needed another one, I'd take a gamble and order another of these, but then I'm a farmer so for me gambling is a way of life.
Your mileage may vary.
