Evinrude 9.5 service manual from Ebay

I purchased a "Buy it Now" 1973 manual form a seller on Ebay. It came tonight and here it is a photocopy of a manual. Not poorly done but not the quality of a factory manual either. Is this even legal? I looked again at the add write up and it doesn't say original but it sure doesn't say photocopy either. I feel ripped off. Rick.

They are copyrighted. That makes it a federal case. A full refund is in order if he wants to avoid serious problems.

An exception would be if it is a copy by Ken Cook (outboardbooks.com). He sells reproduction copies of the factory manual and is the holder of the copyright.

#1 report him to ebay security, he is not selling what he advertizes. there are many on Ebay, making copies of copyrighted material, scanned manuals on CD also.
seeing KenCook has the copyright, or permission to reprint. i think there still is a case there for them.

is it a copy of the Original Evinrude manual?

I would dispute it.Did you use Paypal?
Too many guys on Ebay selling the real original print manuals..not a copy.

I bought one on CD once...that was junk..

I guess this is another scam we all have to be aware of. I bought an original manual off ebay about a month ago. It was used, but in very good shape.

Be sure to leave negative feedback on the seller as well.
