i see on my 1985 rude 9.9 100 to 1 fuel mix<br />the dealer told me it would burn the motor.<br />whos right.. the motor or the dealer

The dealer is correct. Use 50:1.<br /><br />The 100:1, used by several makers, was an attempt to get by emissions rules that didn't happen.<br /><br />Good luck.

John....<br /><br />That mix was suggested on engines from 85' to 87' I believe. The thought was, as I recall, these are trolling engines and don't need a high oil mix. Run a 50:1 mix. And treat her good. The 9.9's are great little engines.
