Hello, are props and lower units made for both Evinrude Lightwin 3hp and Johnson Seahorse 3hp with the "weedless" prop, interchangeable from '56 thru the 60's ? -Thanks

I believe a lot of things are. You may want to verify casting numbers on your parts.

Should be the same motors. If you find any differences, they will probably be in the gas tank and cowls. Well, not exactly "through the '60's". A couple of years had a single transom clampscrew and from there on the midsections and powerheads underwent a lot of changes. But the weedless lower unit survived pretty much the same.

I believe a '52 of either will fit a '67 of either brand (fisherman lower units), so they're interchangeable through those years anyway.

Don't mean to, but you did. But with all respect, the answer is no. The midsection was changed in 1964--I think. 1965 and later for sure. Now, please start a new thread for any additional info. You are appreciated.
