by the way I paid $8K for the 2003 SeaPro SV1900 with the 2003 Yammy 115 EFI 4-stroke and aluminum trailer, and a 24V riptide 65# foot controlled trolling motor (which needed both boards replaced $230)..the yammy is giving me some problems but hopefully I will be able to fix it...so I paid 10 times the amount for this set-up..but it is nice..

One more unique attribute of the E-Tecs is the oiling system. Oil is never mixed with the fuel. It is directly injected to about half a dozen locations. The only fuel ever seeing the crankcase is a small amount of blowby. The first one to try to outsmart the BRP engineers with premix will find out exactly how long one of these suckers can run with no oil. BRP claims over an hour (using whatever residual oil remaining when the oiling stopped.) I wouldn't want to find out. I'm sure there will be a few that fry their powerheads.

Never had the need to investigate exactly where, but it gets to all the places it's needed ... bearings, rings, etc. And precious little at that. I've calculated the oiling ratio just for kicks (it varies depending on RPM). My useage results in 86:1. Some get lower consumption, some more, again it depends on RPM profile. But I can guarantee that if one were to run premix, the engine would fail. It's only a question of when, not if.
