Evinrude Ficht 115 2000 model

I have the opportunity to purchase a used boat with an Evinrude Ficht 115 hp 2000 model with 180 hours. It was well maintained and used in salt water half the time, always flushed. Any comments on the reliability and life expectancy of these motors? Thank you.

year 2000 was the year they (Evr/Johnson) were in transistion...a little bit "iffy" on reliability...

If I recall correctly, it was the V6 FICHT engines that were timebombs, not the V4s.

I would say that any engine that has given good service for 8 years is probably a reliable engine.
