evinrude ficht 150 2000 model

hi

i wonder if you can help bought a secondhand boat with a 150 hp evinrude 2000 model boat ran good allday until i got to the boat ramp when the enjinlight came on and it died will not start again i cleand feul line out (lots of water in feul filter motor backfires sometimes when i try to start it

hope someone can help

You can try putting some fuel desiccant into the tank and running through the systems a bit. Also, make sure to change the fuel filter and get some clean fuel into the system ASAP.

it is a ficht fuel injection does the sensor on the plastic flywheel cover have anything to do with ignition timing

You'll see blow-up diagrams and part numbers. Find the part for both motors. If the numbers match you're golden.

If you know you have water in the fuel, why are you replacing parts? First things first- clean fuel and new filters, including any in-line filters at the powerhead.

i have replaced all filters and cleand feul system did not work took the boat to the dealers they said the cranck sensor is faulty and it may be the ecu as well because of low voltage on the coils a new ecu is 4500 dollars found this one on e bay fot $1000
