Evinrude Fitch break in period?

I just got my new 75 fitch installed and am wondering how and how long to break in the motor. How long before I can pull a skier and how long until I can open it up?<br /><br />Thanks<br />dyl

I don't even have the manual yet. That is why I have posted the question. I thought there may be some "expert" knowledge floating around. But I will be sure to read the manual once I get it. My boat is scheduled for delivery tomorrow afternoon, at the cottage, where I don't have net access. Thanks Again.<br /><br />d

Read the manual. The main thing is never stay at one particular speed too long. Beware of "expert" advice, it is usually enough to be dangerous!

I've been around long enough to know that people still ask, with a manual in hand. Heed the manual.<br /><br />I would not accept delivery without it.<br /><br />That is too much of an investment to mess around with.
