how will this merger affect parts/service?<br />i'm looking to buy a late model motor and<br />don't want to be stuck when it comes to parts/service.i have owned a seadoo jetski<br />and the dealer really sucked and lots of people i know had problems getting repairs<br />done under warranty.

From people that I have talked to that are in the "now". I would expect parts availability to improve.

This was not a merger. It was a buyout of OMC's engine business as OMC liquidated it's assets.<br /><br />You should feel much more secure with a J/E product being backed by a solid, profitable, very large company than by the penniless OMC.
