First, let me introduce myself. I'm Joel and I live in Central Texas. I have a question concerning an outboard motor. I was recently given a 1993 Blue Wave 189T boat, with an Evinrude motor and trailer. I'm in the process of doing all the paper work, but my question is this, the motor cover says it's an Evinrude 88 SPL, however, the model # on the motor says 115ML78C. I'm confused.
Is my engine an 88hp or a 115hp? What year is it? Do you think the covers might have been mixed up somewhere? I'm a popo and I know for a fact the boat, motor and trailer are good. Thanks for any info you can give. Tight lines.
