I let the oil resevoir get low and the VRO alarm whistle came on, refilled it, yet the alarm still goes off every 40 seconds. It's getting oil because it smokes badly at idle and the resevoir level drops correspondingly with fuel consumption. How do I get the whistle to stop?

I dont think OMC has any money.<br /><br />Neptune202 unplug sensor wire to remote oil tank, if alarm stops, clean tank or replace.

Try pumping the oil line bulb til the sound stops. Sounds like you have air in the injector.

OMC is dead , Chopped up into little pieces. Bombardier has owned the Outboard side(JOHNSON/EVINRUDE)for almost two years now .

Check float in VRO resevoir! May be sticking.
