Evinrude starter

Hi, I need a new starter for my 1978 evinrude 70, 70873c. Part #MGD 4110. the original has 10 tooth drive. All replacement starters I can find are 9 tooth. Is this a direct replacement? Does it matter 10 teeth or 9? Thanks!

Yes it matters. Find the 10 tooth drive.
