I recently purchased some Evinrude terminal removal tools off eBay, and I'm not quite sure I'm pleased.
A little background; I do a lot of wiring modifications and repairs on various things. I have a large selection of specialized crimp and terminal tools.
I take my repairs and tools very seriously.
I thought I would expand my selection and purchase the correct tools for servicing the Johnnyrudes I occasionally work on (as a hobby) and purchased this set for $80.
Like a dummy, I didn't see if the actual tools were available.
Set came quickly and well packaged.
My problem is it seems to be a generic screwdriver handle with a series of roll-pins inserted to achieve the correct diameter tube.
The smallest is really the problem, as is the screw-driver shaft, roll-pin, and another roll-pin inserted. This many parts cause it to seem weak, and it came pre-bent as well!
Am I being crazy and are these fine? or should i return them and spend the extra $10 and get Exinrudes version?
