Evinrude tilt trim compatable w/Merc motor?

Hi all,
I have a 59 Crosby runabout that is in the process of a total rehab. My goal is to get a 59 Merc tower for her. A tilt/trim for an Evinrude/Johnson came up on CL and I was wondering how universal these tilt trim units are. Is there any compatability? Also am I putting the cart before the horse here in that I don't have a motor yet? I'm new to outboards so please be patient. Thanks.

Sorry will not fit and best to use a CMC universal unit.
