evinrude to johnson

i realize this is really a strecth post but it never hurts to ask you all have been great.

bought a tilt unit on ebay from a 1973 johnson 65 hp
seem to be in fair shape

wanted to use it on my 50 hp evinrude was hoping however looks like i would need to take my lower mount to use not sure thats possibe

any ideas greatly appreicated

or is someone in need could trade

I can't be much help to you, but it would help if you post the year and model numbers of the motors you are asking about.

Yeah Im not quite sure what you are asking....model numbers would help like wbeaton said. Which lower mount are you referring to.

the tilt unit is off a johnson 65e51-73r

my motor is undetermined but seems to be around 70 50 hp

just looking at these items i would have to take the big rod with the steering arm and the lower mount from mine and put it on the johnson but seem to be different
just might be too much but any help would be appreicated

cant do model number i have is from a 1978 55 hp but thats not what i have
see other posts seems to be around 70 50hp with hydro-elec shift

You will have to post a pic, im not understanding why the steering arm or lower mount would have to do with the TNT unit. You will know best by just looking at them.

i don't think it will work the 50 is 2 cylinder the 65 3 cylinder i believe, with out looking. the transom mounts are different.

it looks ike the 50 has diff mounting brack .
the 50 has 2 srews at top the outher
mount differently .
