Evinrude trouble

I have an Evinrude 6hp modle #6604a. I think its around the year 75'-76'. I was up fishing today and the fule filter cracked and began leaking fule at prety good stream, I was towed in and bought a new filter.That solved the leak however now it wont start. Ive traced the fule all the way to the carb so I know atleast theres fule to the carb. There seems to be excess fule at the choak intake. And when i pulled the plugs there seemed to be excess fule there to, The plugs are getting a spark and everything i know to check seems to be working.......ANY IDEAS WOULD BE HELPFUL.......WHEN I PULL THE CORD IT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE ITS TURNING OVER AT ALL.

Your float is probably stuck. Take apart the carb and reset/clean your needle valve and seat. Since you are in there I would recommend that you spend 15.00 and get a carb kit and replace these items along with the float. To set the float adjust it so it is level with the carb when turned upside down. Repost when you have done this.
