Evinrude Water pump

I have an 88' XP200. When I have it in the water it puts out a good stream of water, When it is hooked up to the water hose it doesnt put out any water. Why does it not put out water when hooked to the hose?

What type of flusher are you using ?? Does it feed water from both sides ?? The single sided ones can suck air.

yes, it was one that feeds from one side.

when was the last time you serviced you water pump?

As you said, when it's in the water you have good flow. Only thing I can tell you to try is a double feed flusher and make sure it's good and tight.
