Evinrure 1987 120hp VRO / water separator

I am disconnecting the oil side of the VRO pump and plugging up the <br />connection and disconnecting the alarm sensors. What I need to <br />know is can I still use my inline water separator filter when going to <br />a 50:1 mixture. <br />Thanks
