Exact Year of Evinrude

I recently picked up a good used moter . The serial # is : E0213202 . Model # : E15ELCRT . The paperwork the guy gave me says it's a 1984 , but when I check it in the year finder you list , that tells me it's a 1995 . Please tell me what I have !!!!!!! Thank You

for all Evr/Johnson..1980 and up..use this code:the word "introduces"..i=1...n=2...t=3...r=4..and so on .. which makes your motor a 1984..you drop the last letter in model#

Using "INTRODUCES" , EO as my first 2 letters , would make it a 1995 !

The Info for INTRODUCES is correct. Your model code reads like this "E15ELCRT". Evinrude, 15hp, electric start, long shaft (20"), "CR" is the year, which works out to 1984, and the "R" is a production run used for parts identification.
