Exactly what model Starcraft did I buy?

Bought a boat this weekend. The only thing I know about it is that it is a 1987 16' Starcraft aluminum with an 80 HP Mercury outboard motor. But I don't know the actual model. I suspect, based on a Google Image search, that it may be an SS 160, but I am not entirely sure. Could anyone tell me the exact model?

Also, I paid $3700 for the boat. It runs great, trolling motor in front runs great, and I believe the kicker in the back will run great too. Did I over pay? Get a deal?

Thanks!

Phil (rookie boat owner)

Simply be aware that this Starmada thing is kind of a sect

If the boat is in decent shape, motor running well, you did fine at $3700. The value of older boats is all about condition.

And Dozer, I spent a lot of time on your rebuild page. Like so many others, I am really impressed with your work. I started showing it to friends who don't even own boats, but have an appreciation for good handiwork.

Hopefully, when it comes time to replacing my floor (there are too soft spots), I can call on on you for some advice.

Thanks Phil, ordering a bimini top, measure from center of gunwale to center of gunwale this is your width. Depending on if you want to be able to walk under the top without ducking or not, is the height measurement, the lower the top the more shade but then you will be hitting your head on it. Measure from the floor to the top of the gunwale ie: if the measurement is 21" and you order a top that is 48"high you will have approx., 68" from the floor to the top. I would recommend ordering the rear support rods as well.

Welcome to iboats.

There is a place to insert the youtube video on the toolbar (I fixed your post).

Beautiful Starcraft HOWEVER........... I have a MAJOR complaint about your video........ Where in the heck did you find such nice weather and open water???? I am here in Vermont and the lakes have up to 48" of solid ice on the surface. I am jealous!!!! Just a hint update your profile with your location etc ;)

Yes a bimini top will fit from what you selected. The true fit of those tops is based on the width of the boat (And you get about 4" to play with AND the desired height of the top.

Good luck with the new boat..... be safe and PLEASE send that nice weather to us up North.
