Exhaust bellow question

I ran my boat yesterday for the first time on the muffs and noticed alot of water coming out from around the bellows and none from the hub. After a closer look I noticed the exhaust bellow has ALOT of holes in it. It looks as if it has been rubbing something which has made a nice flat open holein each little "rib" of the hose. I have read that there is supposed to be a small hole for drainage while the unit is up but not this right??? Also could all the holes cause water to back up into the system easier since it not exiting as low anymore? Boat is in sig, thanks guys.

Re: Exhaust bellow question

Everything is normal including the bellows. The bottom of the bellows probably looks like the outer part of the pleats were cut of with a saw. They were made like that for drainage.

Re: Exhaust bellow question

It did look like a clean factory cut, just figured I'd ask. Thanks!
