Exhaust bellows clip

When I pulled off my bellows I realized that there was no clip holding the exhaust bellows on in the back. I figured I would get a new one in my bellows kit. Well I was wrong. My question is Do I have to have it. Someone told me they used a coat hanger wire and thats worked fine for them but I dont think Ill go that rout. Im working on a 1989 3.0l OMC cobra.

Absolutely you need that clamp.

It sometimes amazes me at some of the BS people can "Hear" aka "I heard" or "Read" as in "I read that......" there is so much of this on the internet that it's just scary.
