boat: 1982 20ft. Peterborough w/cuddy
engine: OMC 230 (305Chev)
drive: 800 series
prop: 14.5x19

problem: the upper starboard side exhaust/cooling bellows has a hole in it that I have patched successfully for now with high heat gasket maker, a small custom rubber plug and a rubber patch over that for good measure. It is almost like someone jabbed a screwdriver into it except for it is like a little volcano protruding outwards. First discovered when it showered my distributor while on long haul and engine quit. Other three appear to be fine so I want to change the bad one (not so confident in my patch!)
It looks as though if I loosen the lower one as if to remove it too I might be able to get the top one replaced without having to move drive or engine. Is this possible, is there a way around major disassembly?
