Hi Guys
on my new project putting a 7.4L into my SeaRay 268, I have it up and running with all new gimbal seals but for the life of me I cant get the exhaust bellows to stay on? At first I thought it was pulling off when I would trim it up but the last time I reinstalled it I left it trimmed down and after 2 minutes of the engine running on muffs it blew off again
I have installed it twice with bellows adhesive and last time with contact cement but same result.
What I did notice too is while it was running on land there really wasn't much water coming out the prop but mostly out the relief holes at the gimbal. I'm wondering if there might be an obstruction in the lower unit (Bravo 1) like maybe an exhaust flapper? I also noticed yesterday that there seems to be relief holes above the cavitation plate, are they connected to the exhaust port too? cause no water or exhaust seems to be coming from there either.
Thanks
Scott
