Exhaust Flap

I have a 1995 SeaRay Spitfire with a Merc 350 Magnum tournament Ski power plant. I noticed the exhaust flap missing and was wondering where would be the best place to find a replacement.<br /><br />Thanks

sea ray dealer! wasting time trying to save a buck and find something that probaly wont function properly, just get the same one. just go and get it done before you get hydro locked.

I agree with you that a Searay dealer would be the best place. Unfortunately my Searay dealer can't get his hands on one. If this were a 1985 model I could understand not finding one but, this a 1995 model and I would think that Searay would have them. I am looking for the exact replacement - if I can find it. Know of any distributors?<br /><br />I talked to Boatus and West Marine but no luck.

Thanks again Charlie, I will check them out..<br /><br />Trent: that is similar but a conversion. I would prefer the original flap but may have no choice but to convert..

try discount inboard marine 1-803-345-0996 if this dont work Email me a picture of the good one i have ski boat dealers everywhere even a searay dealer down the road from my work. look at a aqua pwr parts book and look for p/n 0817 this is the most common one used. or if you have a fax line i will copy and fax to you.

Thanks for the confirmation. I found that one last night and confirmed it with my Searay dealer. It appears to be the one I just hope that it fits. Considering how important these items are you would assume that boat manufactures would put additional or secondary flaps for protection or stock enough to support the boats they do have in the field. I am very disappointed with Searay. They have always positioned themselfs as a top tier boat manufacturer. This is not the support you expect from a top tier manufacturer....
