Here's a pic looking down on the exhaust pipe.What the hell? How does this happen?No, I didn't pull it up,was like that when I dismantled.

What about that fluid in the bellows and white crap around the shift cable?

Ayuh,.....

The Cause is Lack of Water Flow.....

The Fluids in the bellows appear to be Purged grease,+ maybe some outdrive oil.....

The White Stuff,..?? Probably more Grease.....Maybe a hint of Water mixed in.....

No water in the exhaust during the collapsed hose event and the flappers overheated and came apart. That lack of water would also have stressed out the rubber exhaust hoses.

The fluid in the drive bellows is probably from the front yoke seal in the drive.

OK on the disintigration but,HITH did that flapper get faced upward?It dosen't spin and musta taken some force to do that.

How Long,+ What happened between the throttle Chop,+ Now,..??

Bond-o,I don't understand what you're asking.Motor still running fine,only found the exhaust problem when I pulled my broken drive and saw the flapper in behind the shift shaft.AND last time motor was flushed,between all the back and forth to the hose ,pressure washer, spray nozzle,the motor WAS started(5-10 secs)with NO water on.Turned off motor,turned water on and proceeded to flush.Ran 20-30 min,no probs I could tell .
