Hello all, I’m new here, but very excited to be on this forum. I’ve been learning so much! I have a 1985 Suzuki DT65. It is new to me but I don’t know much about it’s history.
I’m an effort to try and descale the motor, (which I should note it only had a light amount of scale) I took off the thermostat housing and started it on muffs. When I did, a light amount of exhaust fume came out of the thermostat port and no water. So, put it into a trash can and now water pours out but so does quite a bit of exhaust fume.
I should also note that in my failed attempt to set up a descaling circuit, I could not force water up to the thermostat housing port with muffs or by hooking the pump directly to the tube on the output side of the water pump
Is this something I should be concerned about? Might there be an exhaust gasket leak?
