"Makes you realize that the only way to go for inboards in salt water is a full closed cooling system"<br /><br />i am 100% in agreement there dude.. salt water should be kept as far away from an engine as possible.. and risers should be made of some material thats more resistant to corrosion as well..<br /><br />cheap and cheerfull cast iron aint that cheap when taken over the life of the boat..<br /><br />with closed cooling systems we could also leave the ancient 1950s technolgy cast iron grossly inefficient lumps we call engines behind as well..<br /><br />trog100
