exhaust or steam from cylinder 1, merc 500

hi guys, been running my engine in a trash can, ready for this season but i have realised there is either steam or exhaust coming from around the spark plug on cylinder 1 ( the top one as you look at it) any ideas??

Yes. You must find out where the water is coming in and fix it. I hate to say it but the fix isnt easy or cheap. Are you up to it? You will first need a repair manual and a compression tester. This is step #1 Step #2 after step one finished/

it was an easy fix on my 1150 i just retorqued the bolts that hold that head like thing on in the back and run it awhile and the leaks sealed up i had water round all 6 of my plus and not a leak one now if were speaking of the same thing....
