Does anyone know roughly how much power is gained by running the exhaust out to air instead of under water through the drive. In case it matters the engine is a 350. Thanks<br /><br />Mike
On a 350 the increase will be a top end gain of about 1 mph. No noticable change on the low end.<br /><br />Thats not much for a whole lot of noise. You can have the best of both worlds by going with one of the combo systems like "Captains Choice" that let you switch between Thru prop and thru Transom exhaust. <br />Also, check your fav. boating spots regs because some of them have noise regulations...
