Ok so I have a 97 3.0 gs and it's overheating only with the thermostat installed and I was reading and there are a couple of people sayin that the restrictor plate between manifold and riser is marked wrong and it needs to be turned 180degrees so I buy gaskets and take it apart and looking at it if I turn the plate around the water jackets will not line up so I think my plate is marked correct secondly is there a way to tell which orientation the rubber hose goes between riser and exhaust manifold I have bought the 2 gaskets about 6 times at 20 bucks every time it's getting expensive so I want other opinions on the restrictor plate and the orientation of the rubber hose..
There is also been a little water in the exhaust side of my manifold every time I take it apart and I dry it out before installation but it returns somehow? It's new riser and manifold and none of the cylinders look like they are getting water in them?
