Exhaust Tube Noise

I'd like to go to the exhaust tube just for the ease of intallation. My understanding is it will have a slight increase of noise when on plane and trimed out. I am OK with that. I have a channel to go through that requires the drive to be fully trimmed out to clear rocks, logs, etc. RPMs are only about 1K, so drive is under water Any increase in noise for this type of running?

Not really, the exhaust is still underwater, at idle and around 1K rpm, much of the exhaust will be coming out of the exhaust relief holes anyway.
It's only a slight increase in noise, not a lot.

Re: Exhaust Tube Noise

I just switched from bellows to tube a few weeks ago and have notice that it is significantly louder on plane and especially near wot, but not unpleasantly so at all. At lower speeds, the nly real difference i notice is that I can hear the exhuast gasses bubbling up around the outdrive as opposed to before didn't have that noise because was dispersed through the prop. Note that I'm not talking aobut hearing the sound of the exhaust at lower speeds, but the sound of the bubbling gas coming up - it's not very loud at all... Hope this is helpful

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be going forward with changing to tube.
