We re looking at upgrading from our 1984 19' century to a 22' 1994 Crownline. The previous owner installed thru-hull exhaust which I am ok with, but the wife isnt exactly thrilled with that. My question is can a person switch it over to "captain choice" by simple installing the switches or would a new exhaust have to be fabricated? I havent seen the set-up yet so I dont know if the orignal part of the exhaust is still hooked up or not. I would assume they would be so it doesnt fill with water, but I'm not to familar with the thru-hull exhaust.

Re: Exhaust

Have a look at it, see if the Y pipe is there. If it is, can fab a 2 way diverter from ss tube, with a butterfly in the thru hull side for silent choice. It's how I did mine, was cheap to do.
