Re: Exhaust

Anything can be done but is it worth it? Without knowing what you have it is hard to tell. In most cases it would not be worth the time but for the few that have the motor it is a very cool thing.
PS With the proper placement of the exhaust tips it doesn't have to be loud all the time. Then there is silencers and all kinds of things. Do a search here. We have gone over this many times.

Re: Exhaust

Thanks for the info where and how would I go about doing this I think that the motor is not kicking out the exaust and it is causing to much back pressure

Re: Exhaust

If you have a SBC, the gain from thru hull is almost zero.....consult Dennis Moore's book on Marine SBC performance. If you had a 502 it would be a different story ;)
There are a LOT of useful things you can do to improve performance, but thru hull is not one of the first......

And as for the noise issue....love to hear big blocks ROAR!!!!!

HP Books "Small Block Chevy Marine Performance" by Dennis Moore ISBN #1-55788-317-3

Iboats lists it, but it is ALWAYS out of stock, Amazon carries it but is also out of stock, sometimes it is on ebay, or just call Dennis (he is a super guy)...his website (has phone # on it) is http://www.mooreperformance.org/

You are welcome!
It will make more of a difference once you do some other mods...and they do sound good!
