I know many would know this, but I did not and it drove me crazy for 2 evenings.
My right brake/turn would not work. I checked all the wiring, and changed the light, it still would not work. I put a voltage meter on the 4 pin, and it had no juice. I attempted to trace the wire up to where it connects with the car. It took me dropping the gas tank, and removing the spare tire. I called a Ford dealership locally, and they asked "Did you check your fuses?" I told them that I checked the fuse and it was fine. He informed me that the trailer lights have several fuses, and once I checked through the book more completely, I found that there is a fuse for specifically the right turn/brake trailer light. Who would have though that! I know it makes me sound foolish, but if this saves just one person from wrenching under the car, than I am happy.
For the record, I wanted new LED lights that is why I replaced before checking the wire.
