So this past week we were visiting our son way up in Northern Saskatchewan, Laronge. We spent some time out on Lac La Ronge and Nemeiben lakes, this is amazing Canadian shield country, check it out some time, BEAUTIFUL. I had my Javelin 379 Fish & Ski/ Johnson 150 out n about. My wife never did like this boat, too low, too fast, she prefered my old 1979 16' Bluefin can and 85 hp. I read another post that if the Admiral aint happy (wife), nobody happy, oh so true... Anyway we pulled up to an island for lunch, after filling our bellies, we pushed off the rocks, and thats when I broke off the Pitot Tube. The next day we went in to the local marine dealer to get a replacement. Thats when things went haywire. Went in for a $7.50 part, came out with a brand spankin new boat and motor. A 2012 HarberCraft King Fisher 1925 Flex Sport with a Yamaha 150. I have to say, as much as I enjoyed the Javelin, it really wasnt my style, back to serious fishing. This HarberCraft is a dream. Spent 4 hours on the water today starting the break in process, rock solid. Lesson, send your kid in for that cheap part. Oh ya, the "Admiral", she is now happy, very happy, and cant wait to "try" and out fish me.
