EXPERT info Spark Plugs 5.0 Mercruiser EFI- wrong plugs??

Just inspecting my motor before first lake run this year and decided to look at plug condition. Had plugs changeg season before last and haven't run them very much but looked anyway. Took a plug out and notice the condition then looked at plug number. Plug is TR5 NGK. Went and looked at manual and it says to use NGK BPR6EFS!!!

Someone put in wrong plugs--

Question is are these plugs ok to run? What is the difference between the two? Is there any harm in running this plug?

The TR-5 is common to put in and slightly hotter (one range) often used when low speed or trolling to keep plugs clean.

Thanks for the reply. Will it hurt my ENGINE though in the long run. This boat is used for cruising and towing sports.

Capt. Obvious here, but why don't you just put in the right plugs in it and not have to worry about it anymore ????? You don't have a carbed engine you know.

Well sure I would be glad to. However, not a marine store in 50miles! Have tried every other known auto parts with NO LUCK! Family lake trip planned in morning. Big family! Justthought someone might have some insight thats all!!!!!
