Experts needed... Boat ID

Ok guys, here's your chance. Make me proud.<br />What is it? Approx. 16 ft. long.<br />HIN....DSC CO53 M73K. that is not a miss print.<br />USCG search indicates it's a Dolphin something.<br />Owner claims it's a 1973 and the motor is a 1976.<br />Can you help me in identifing this boat?<br />Thank you for the help. Also clueless. But the HID does say it is a '73'.<br /><br />The color kind of gives it away too.

Title say's it's a 73.<br />No other indentification on the boat other than the hull id number. Owner is asking 1500.00.<br />But the engine has not run in a few years. I will need to go through it, service it.

all i could find is Dolphin Boats Ltd, N Chicago, IL and Dolphin Boats Inc, Princeton, FL.

Yea, I also found the info on the Dolphin Boats LTD. Company out Chicago, went into business on 1/3/1973, out of business on 8/29/2001 but I was hoping for more. According to the USCG standards the hull id number is incomplete, it only has 11 characters instead of 12 but I have triple checked it to make sure. Well I will keep checking around for more info, thanks for the help!<br /><br />I bought the boat yesterday for a grand and got it home last night will work on getting it running this week, I will keep you posted. Thanks. Daryl. :)
