Extending Shorestation

I have an older steel shorestation 7ft wide 2800lbs. I've just finished scraping and priming it, and decided I want to really use it for my pontoon instead. But for that, I need it to be 9ft wide rather than 7ft.

So it appears that the 4 main 2inch pipes can unbolt (although the carriage bolts will probably have to be cut away in this case due to rust) and wider pipes can be put in.

On either end of a pipe, there is a flange:

|------|

The flanges on the top pipes are different than those on the bottom two.

So, I would like to:
1) buy complete wider pipes for top and bottom that can just bolt in if they are available.
2) if not, does anyone know if the flange(s) are available, or standard in some way (another post said that most manufacturers use the same parts) - I could then weld these onto stock I get locally.
3) cut and reweld what I have - although this is the weakest and least favorite of my choices.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I have a post up from the last few days asking about paint, with no responses. What brands of enamel paint have you used with good results? Does a hardener help? (about $10 to treat a gallon)

Re: Extending Shorestation

Oh, one more thought... The lift dealer near me didn't have the "feet" for the lift, and I have to replace one. (I didn't ask him about the cross pipes.)

Can anyone suggest a good Inet dealer with fair pricing? (Although lift parts will be a bear to ship I suppose...) Even with galvanic action, I don't care if the foot is Aluminum rather than steel BTW...

Vdub, I have the same lift. I would take the parts you want made to a good welding/machine shop in your area. They can make what you want, and it will be less than trying to buy it from the manufacturer. As for the feet, I have seen them on e-Bay lately.

Good Luck
