Extra seals? Omc 800 impeller kit *pic*

I took my impeller apart to put a new kit in. In the kit there are two extra o-rings but I have no idea where they go (see pic and arrows). I don't remember seeing these o-ring seals when I removed the old impeller and housing. Mine just had the large o-ring for the housing, an o-ring for inside the pump shaft (female side) and a o-ring for the male side that slides over the splines. I don't need these other two.....right??

I *think* one goes in the w/p shaft female end.... a recess in there maybe? or am I thinking of the engine coupler- I know the engine coupler has one to hold grease in. I think the w/p shaft does too...
The other? I dunno...

In the picture the one on the far right is the one that goes inside the water pump shaft where it goes in the lower unit (the recess you speak of), the one on the far left (the one that looks strange), is the one that goes on the splines of the water pump shaft. The large one seals the pump housing. The two in the middle, I have no idea where they go or if they are even for my application. Maybe they are for a 400 drive or a electric shift drive. I guess they throw the seals in for all the drives. Of course they don't tell you this.

Ears of the upper - trunnion pivot water passages- just hit me....

Oh I ordered that kit. These two o-rings in the pic are different sizes. I looked in the manual and it mentions nothing of this. There are two large o-rings for the trunion mounts and the other two are cork, then the other two are paper.

oh yeah...they are different sizes....ok...I guess I didn't have the revelation I thought I had
