I have a 1999 gas EZ-GO I'm not sure of the model #. When I put it away last Dec it ran fine. I tried to take it out this weekend. I was able to start it with no problem, but when I hit the gas it didn't move. I pulled up the seat and saw that the pulley on the rear differential was turning but the axel did not turn. Conversely when I turned the wells manualy the pulley did not turn and I know that it would turn any time I pushed it before. My question is did I break a sheer pin or something an if so where is it in the rear differential or in the axels. Any ideas?

EZ-GO golf cart is made by a Textron owned company, perhaps waterinthefuel may have some answers.

rwise when the pulley is turned the shaft turns also. There is no grinding noise it just spins. I'll just have to take it apart this weekend. I wonder if there is a golf cart forum?

Both great sites. Right now it looks like I spun a hub spline. Looks like a cheap easy fix. Thanks Guys.

You're right scaaty I spoke to soon. I had a chance to look at it again this am. It's not the hubs. It looks like some thing internal won't alow it to shift out of neutral. On the bright side delivery of the new boat has been pushed bact to some time in June so I have plenty of tome to work on it. With help from Cartaholics I'll get it fixed hopefully it involves more time than money.
