Hi guys, I'm looking for a little help with my motor here. I have a 02 f115 I bought used about a year ago. When I winterized it last year I noticed the number 1 plug was black after maybe 5 or 6 hours run time. I posted about it here and rodbolt said to check the injector. A few weeks ago I took it to the local dealer to have the 100 hr. service done (unsure of actual hours,ECM was changed due to an issue with making oil and original owner didn't seem to be much for maintenance) and have the injector checked. The mechanic said everything checked out fine but when I asked him about the injector he said they did a fuel pressure test and everything was good, both running and with just the ignition on. I don't think this is what was meant by checking the injector. Is there some other test that needs to be done? Is there something I can do myself like cleaning maybe? One other question, I ran the motor hot last year with the muffs on and fried the water pump but the overheat alarm never went off. I had him check this also and he said he had to buy a resistor to put in line to check the alarm and after 1 minute the alarm went off. He says this is normal because there is a delay in the alarm system, does this make sense or do I need a new mechanic? I'm sorry about the long post but I wanted to give as much background as possible. I need this motor to last me a long time and want to keep on top of it.
Thanks for the help,
Scott
