F60 - want to change prop

I have an F60 as main power on a 17 Lund - works great down hear in the thick air. When I go to higher elevations (above 5,000) to fish mountain lakes - its hard to get enough RPM's to plane the boat - want to drop down on the prop pitch or size, but can't find the prop pitch and size info on the hub.

Anyone have any idea what the stock prop is on a 2005 F60?

Re: F60 - want to change prop

I'm afraid the only outboards that come with props from the factory are small tiller models. Most everything else comes without a prop because the factory has no idea what kind of boat the motor is going to hang on. There are numbers someplace. You might have to remove the prop to find them hidden by the hardware.

Re: F60 - want to change prop

your probably running a 10.5x17 or 10.5x19 on your F60. if your having problems maintaining rpm's at higher elevations, try reducing your pitch angle and dont mess with your diameter size. the prop size and pitch info is located on the inside hub of your prop. your lund is a fairly light boat and it shouldnt take much change in your prop size to correct your rpm problem.
