I have an 01 f9.9 with a 703 remote control box that I use as a kicker. The problem I'm having is controlling my speed. When in the forward idle position I get about 1mph, which is too slow. When I try to kick it up a little I jump up to 2.8mph, too fast. It is so touchy that it takes me forever to set it to the proper speed. Is there some type of adjustment that can be made either in the box or on the motor to stretch out the acceleration of this combination? Thanks in advance for any opinions.

nope, try playing with your prop.
about the only thing you can adjust is the cable tension.that may give more control.
usually its easier to throttle back to an RPM than throttle up to an RPM.

Thanks for the advice Rodbolt, again. I see a Solas 8 pitch on sale here for $42, I'll try one and let you guys know if it works any better.
