Re: f_inscreenname .... Got pics???
Thanks again guys. Been working on it since I found it on e-bay 4 years ago. It was a total wreck. Some of the pictures are last years some are new. Lots of changes (upgrades) with the motor this year, new front (matching) seats and a couple other things. Didn't get to all the stuff I wanted to this summer but there is always next year.
I take it those photos are on the Chesapeake Bay? Looks like nice water for high speeds.
Actually that is the South Baltimore city ramp (closest to home). If you were going to The Baltimore Inner Harbor from the Chesapeake bay you would go up the Patapsco river and make a left at Ft McHenry (a right takes you to the harbor) and go about a 1/2 mile to my ramp. Some days it is as flat as glass. Some days you would think you in the middle of the Atlantic. Especially on busy summer days. After Labor day it really calms down a lot but then you have to watch out for the weather. There is a old saying around here during the spring and fall If you don't like the weather wait 5 mins it will change and it does. But when it is right you can go for miles wide open (if you want). There is always the rivers if the channel is rough. Miles and miles of flat water and plenty of places to hide if you want to. Not to bad.
Recently a new member of I boats found me (Barry2002). He also has the same boat right down to the year but with one exception. His Allmand came with two 302 Fords with 2 Volvo 270s. His was a wreck also. He has already started a restore (we are in contact daily). He has the boat striped down to the hull for painting and is trying to get all the parts together before spring. I also saw one on E-bay (another I boats poster found it) a year back. I sent the new owner a couple e-mails but never got a response. So now I know of three. Mine a 360ci Mopar/Volvo I/O, Barry2002s twin 302 Fords/volvo I/Os (I want him to install 351Ws) and the one on e-bay. Some one converted it to a outboard. None are the same. If I could get a hold of the outboard owner we could start a club. If the wife would let me I would own all three and have my own club but being only 19 and no cabin it would suck living in one.
