Yep, red is tough.

Is the yellow a vinyl strip rather then gel or paint? Looks like it's been nicked & has some peeling in the upper left corner:

The yellow is a vinyl stripe. It has a few nicks in it. I dropped it off at my boat club I'll put up some pics next weekend of it done. I ended up wet sanding all of the red 2 times. And then buffed it times. Twice with the aqua buff cutting compound and once with the polish. It turned out great!! Though it was a ton of work, counting cleanup and all i probably had 25 hours in it once it was waxed with 2 coats and everything cleaned up. Thanks again for the advice, i will deff post pics of the finished product next weekend.

Re: Faded gel coat.

My boat had serious oxidation to the gelcoat. I am very skeptical to tv ads and other promotions. I tried a product called Poli Glow, and it worked awesome. I purchased the poli glow kit as well as the poli ox. Dont waste your time and money unless you purchase the poli ox, the difference is huge. Using the poli glow kit helped, but using the poli glow kit with the poli ox was HUGE! (cost was about $100 total ebay)
I have a 19ft boat and it took about 6 hours by myself, with alot of elbow and shoulder grease. Prep work is everything. I would recommend this product to anyone. One kit could do my boat 3 times (Just did the outside).
Im sure there are alot of other great products, this one worked well for me.
