I've got a spare 1967 Johnson 80hp Electramatic that I'm using for parts for my '67 manual shift Johnson. I'm assuming that the lower units aren't interchangeable, so I'm going to part-out any parts I can't use. Anyone know what parts AREN'T compatible with my manual shift?

I've got the motor listed on Craigslist and have some interest already. I plan on using the extra cash to replace my fuel lines, fix speedo etc.

What's a fair price for the LU and Controls?

Go to marineengine.com and look up the parts diagrams for those two motors. You'll quickly be able to figure out what will and what won't work for your manual shift. If they don't have the exact diagrams then use the 1967 Evinrude manual and electric shift diagrams. BTW, I'm guessing that many parts from the lower unit will work on both models except, of course, the gears and the shift linkage. For instance, the prop shaft, the driveshaft, the gearcase head (aka prop shaft bearing carrier) etc. Also, and I'm guessing here, the 'shell' is probably the same. If you ever hit a rock and destroy your skeg, it would be nice to have another one laying around that you could use.

Is it safe to assume that the shift solenoid is worth a bit of money? Craigslister offered me $50 "cash in hand" for the entire lower unit. I told him to pound salt(politely, tho) :D

"Cash in hand"?....Wow, this buyer must be serious if he's gonna pay me in that rare currency called CASH.
