Re: fair price

Fair price? If the buyer and seller agree, it's fair.

I had a bull in a rented pasture once and needed to get him in my trailer but had few resources. I called the local "cowboy" who knew his business. He came right out and in no less than a minute that bull was in the trailer with the gate locked. I gave him $200 for it. He said it was too much for what he did. I said "You don't know what it means to me to have that bull in that trailer".

The fact that it happened so quickly was due to his experience. I paid for that gladly. Course that's why I called HIM and the next time I need him you can bet he'll be right there.

Re: fair price

The biggest costs were the VRO and gearcase reseal. Yeah, fair price if not cheap.

Re: fair price

Sounds pretty good to me. I would certainly pay $1100 for it if I was in the market for a similar engine.

Re: fair price

That is not the selling price, but the repair cost. Lot of difference there.
